Baseball Fields

We may well be the only campground with a Major League Baseball field!   Use of the Major League Field is by reservation only.
(Fee and insurance required.)

Our Little League field (foreground) is available for use by our registered guests at no charge when it is not rented for a game.

A family of fisherfolk on the far shore of our stocked pond

The Fossil Pit is located behind the pools.  It is a big hole in the ground that looks like a meteor hit!  You are guaranteed to find a brachiopod and perhaps a trilobite or cephalopod.   At 1800' above sea level it is hard to imagine that Beaver Valley was once under water.

Camp store/office

Firewood, ice, propane, junk food, nightcrawlers, payphone, some sundries and supplies.

Also our friendly staff available with directions, restaurant recommendations, and ideas of things to do in the area.

Pretty spots to savor and explore

Hike to Sunset Hill and enjoy the view.  At night it's a great place to wish on shooting stars or count satellites.

Ask us how to find the ash tree that needs 3 sets of outstretched arms to encircle.

HERON.JPG (19128 bytes)

There is a small heron rookery at the edge of one of the ponds.  We often see a lone heron feeding at our stocked pond or flying low over the campground.

Yes, there really are beaver at Beaver Valley.  The lodge on our protected pond is active and the dam is maintained by these skilled engineers.
